How's this for Senergy?  Now you can be a part of the clan that gave the Shendilavri brand their name:  Go to the Cannith Server of Dungeons and Dragons Online Ebberon Unlimited and look for the "Children of Shendilavri" clan.  It's run by Jamiemcindy, which is of course my character there.  It's a casual game that prefers a casual environment and to grow in stature, and if you let me, er, Jamie know that you want to join, be sure to send her an E-Mail.
As some of you have realised when you logged into Wizards' D&D site today, www.wizards.com/DnD/Article.as… , you found out that they're planning to work on the Fifth Edition of the game.

My snippish, and initial response?  Damn, I'm sure glad I downloaded all the books from BitTorrent.  If I had bought them all, would I be pissed off!  (Note to the Admins:  This is a Joke.  It wasn't intended to break any TOS, but I'll remove it upon request anyway.)

Then I started thinking: Unlike some more seasoned D&D players, I actually learned the game not in 2nd Edition, when it was during the 80s, but the 4th Edition, last year.  I liked the 4th Edition because it was easy to pick up and play, and while not perfect, had plenty of optimization options (unlike 3rd Edition Essentials) for me to play with.  I'm also starting to learn how to DM using 4th Edition.

I believe taht my DM stills will no doubt shine bright when I make the transition to 5th Edition.  So much so that, when I get enough of the story done to make an Hubworld Campaign, it will be in 5th Edition.  Maybe even be 5th Edition GSL legal if that's possible.  I consider it somethign for me to shoot for in the future.

I understand that not everybody's going to be happy with the edition change.  Heck, people were up in arms when they changed the official card frame in Magic: The Gathering (I for one loved it, especially with how they customised it in future sets (Planeshifted, Futureshifted (my personal fave), Planeswalker Cards, Level Up, and now Transformable doublesided cards.)  However, I agree with Shelly Mazzanoble when she said that you don't have to play 4th Edition (or 5th Edition) if you don't have to.  In fact, that's why Pathfinder got made.  I, however, never learned 3ed Edition outside of DDO, and that's only because of Free Points in Fortune Cards and that my computer can actually run the game.  Because of this, I had no opinion toward 3rd/3.5/Pathfinder and consider 4th Edition D&D my RPG of choice.

However, I do look forward to the development of 5th edition--as I work on my D&D and Gaming skills in the current edition--with an open mind and hope that it's an improvement over the previous iteration.  (And like I said, Hubworld will be set in the 5th Edition)

But until that time comes, I hope you enjoy the Hubworld story--which I'll begin later on tonight--and look forward to the eventual Campaign Setting version.
After some work on the rewrite of the earlier parts, I think I can release the story in sections, with each 'chapter' coinciding with each 'day' Jamie lives in the realm (Of course, there are parts where several days occur during the chapter, which are summarized in a combination of jounal entries and plotted scenes (using the "Lost Boy Found" or "Carrie" technique).  I'm almost done with the first 'day' and will post it in a couple weeks.

All I need right now is a proper logo (and name) of the brand and story.  Hubworld is actually a filler name I use as a codename until I get something better.  What I need now is a brand name that basically reveals the fusion between M:TG and D&D.  While "Jamie and the Planeswalker" would work all right with the story title, I can use a different one if suggested.

And then there's the logo design.  I can always tweak a font or two, but I can also draw up a logo in Draw Plus if the need permits.

All suggestions and haggling (I think that's why there's a DA Muro feature, I mean, it isn't just used to create chan-quality crap with ae-inspired lines, right.....RIGHT?!) will be greatly appreciated at this point.
Yes, I really need to get you up to date.

Good News: I got to 50,000 words in the first part of the first draft so I officially have won NaNoWriMo 2011.

The Bed News is that, as I was working on the rest of the first draft, I felt the storyline trying to get away from me.

So, I was forced to stop what I'm doing and work over what I have now so that I can keep the story on back.  Think of it as "Measure Twice, Cut Once." This is the second Measure, Draft 1.01, so to speak.

Fortunately, At this point, I might be able to post up some of the first chapters, and possibly post the whole book, online after the second draft and maybe have an open beta where like-minded people can help me proofread.  (Protip: Let me know which verb tense needs to be changed to what needed verb tense. 'Chose should be Choose,' for example.  Be specific and civil.)  If all goes well, I might be able to post the first part in January.

Also, I'll be open for any supporting characters for me to drop into a scene or two.  I'm looking for a older person running the Sento (Japan-style Bathouse) as well as some Ranger/Hunter instructors for Jamie.  The use of Traditional D&D races is a plus here, but not necessary.  All assistance here will be apprecated.
Me and a friend have been doing some off-the-cuff RPGs for a while and we came up with a term that I'd like to share.  Accually it's two but let's not quibble.  The term is Faunaterrans, also known as "Races of the fur".  The name means "Animal Earther".

Races of the fur is another title we came up with.

The both refer to Anthropomorphic Animals.

that's all for now.
